We are all doing the best we can

Once you understand and accept that everyone is doing the best they can with who they have been conditioned to be and the tools they've been provided, what others say or do will affect you less. You choose to allow your ego to react to another persons actions and by choosing not to react or speaking your truth and setting loving boundaries, you learn to be more empathetic and authentic. Respect yourself first and others will in most cases respect you in return. Never accept being mistreated, but simply remove yourself from that person or situation. Understand that everyone has not healed their traumas and are projecting those hurts onto anyone in their path. Be an example of how others should treat each other and always speak your truth. Those that are meant to be in your life will remain and those who are not should be allowed to move on. Detach yourself from all people, places and things in order to allow life to flow naturally. You will be more accepting that life happens for you in order to help you grow into the greatest version of yourself. If you need support, guidance or someone to simply listen, send me a DM and let's start the conversation which could lead you on your own journey to becoming the greatest version of you! 16 months sober

My sobriety has been such a blessing and I'm beyond grateful for those who have been supporting me this last 16 months. I'd like to give a shout out to my family and friends who have been by my side to listen and support me any way I needed. Sobriety begins with deciding to live your life on purpose and to stop medicating your anxiety, fear and traumas with drugs and alcohol. Having a support system is a must and there are AA groups across the world that meet daily. Accepting your past mistakes takes courage but a necessary step in the process. Learning to live in the present moment will keep you grounded and focused on giving your energy to what's right in front of you. You will learn to release your traumas and start healing and discover emotions you never knew existed inside of you. The road to recovery is extremely difficult but anyone is capable with the right mindset, support system and breaking down your recovery into bite size steps. Your life will forever be changed once you decide to take the first step and admit you are powerless to the drugs or alcohol. The rest is up to you, the universe or higher power and your daily disciplined commitment to becoming the greatest sober version of you. Life truly is better sober. If you need support, guidance or someone to simply listen, send me a DM and let's start the conversation which could lead you on your own journey to becoming the greatest version of you!
