Does PEACE decide your happiness?

The most valuable and often most productive time we have each day is alone time. Many of us are afraid to be alone and some of us are very uncomfortable in silence. The thousands of thoughts racing through our mind can be overwhelming and downright scary. We sometimes allow negative thoughts to creep in and take control of our attitude which can result in negative actions. Be strong when dealing with toxic people or environments and create distance by setting boundaries to maintain your peace. Don't set expectations too high and be content with accepting whatever happens and learn from the experience. Include a daily practice of gratitude as a constant reminder of the many blessings in your life. Something as simple as appreciation for today as another opportunity to wake up an have a positive impact on others. When we prioritize time to spend in a quiet peaceful place, we allow our minds and bodies the opportunity to reflect, heal and recover. It's important to find a place that is free of distractions to fully be present and focused on cleansing our spirit and regenerating our positive energy. This daily exercise does not take more than 10 – 20 minutes if you are committed, focused and relaxed. Once you make this daily ritual a habit, you will learn to control how you respond to the thoughts that enter your mind, which will result in how you react, which is often best if no reaction at all. Life is about choices, and once you decide to take back control of the things within your control and release your ego's expectation and desire to control what happens, life becomes peaceful. Take action today and start your day off in a place of peace to reconnect with your subconscious, to live fully in the present moment and get moving toward creating your best life and becoming the best version of yourself.
